Rugby 7’s, SUKMA XII, Terengganu 2008
6-8 June, Kuala Terengganu

The biannual Sukan Malaysia Games comes to the East Coast City of Kuala Terengganu. This multi-sports event will witness young Malaysians battle it out and Carisbrook New Zealand will be the event sponsor for the Rugby Sevens events.


Inter Residential School Rugby 10’s, Pekan
26-29 June, Pekan Pahang

The 9th Edition of the Malaysian Inter Residential School Rugby 10’s will held in the Royal town of Pekan, Pahang. A total of 50 public boarding schools will take part in this prestigious 3-days event.

Asia Development Rugby Series, Jakarta
11-19 July, Jakarta

A four-nation full side rugby tournament will be held for the first time in Jakarta. Indonesia, Brunei, Laos and Cambodia will play in this IRB sanctioned tournament.

Malaysian Premier School Rugby Tournament, Kangar
28-31 July, Kangar Perlis

Rugby in Malaysia is synonymous with premier schools. The final round of the annual Malaysia’s Premier Schools Rugby Tournament will be held in the northern capital town of Kangar. Champion teams from 6 preliminary zones will participate in this tournament.


SMSS 10’s, Kuala Lumpur

19-20 July, Kuala Lumpur

The 15th Edition of the SMSS Rugby 10’s will see 4 categories – U12, U14, U16, and Old Boys.

Asian Beach Games, Bali
18-26 October, Bali, Indonesia

The 1st Asian Beach Games will be held at four different locations at the ‘ Island of The Gods’. A total of 17 disciplines will be held with an expected 10,000 participants and officials congregating on the beautiful island of Bali.

This first ever Olympic Council of Asia’s event, hosted by Indonesia, will have the opening and closing ceremony at the awesome venue in Bukil at Jimbaran with the Garuda Wisnu Kencana as the backdrop which promises to be an exciting affair.

Bali Rugby 10’s, Bali
11-12 October Bali, Indonesia

Bali will once again host the Thiess Bali Rugby 10’s at the Canggu Club. Organized by the Indonesian Rugby Football Union, 16 teams from New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia will participate in this fun-filled but serious weekend of rugby.

MSSM MILO U-15 Rugby 10’s
14-16 November

Under-15 school team from all over Malaysia will once again meet to decide the Champions of the annual MILO U15 Rugby 10’s. This will be the 27th year of competition and will again see the best junior team in action.
